About

Climb at Tryfan Fach (Little Tryfan), a gentle sloping slab set in the heart of the Ogwen Valley on the eastern side of Mount Tryfan. Whilst you cannot set up a top rope here, it is perhaps one of the best spots to learn to lead climb, with its good access and easy, gentle sloping slab routes – its a great beginner’s area and popular with groups. From road side parking on the A5 follow the gravel track to Gwern y Gof Uchaf campsite from where it is a short walk up a track. Cafe and toilets at the Ogwen Centre at the end of the lake.
