Beckenham Place Park has an outstanding lake with swimming and boating areas. Operated by PtP, this lake is hugely popular for swimming and paddle sports and has lifeguards on duty during opening hours. When using the lake you will be sharing it with a variety of water wildlife – swimming amongst the ducks is a highlight for many regulars. In the summer, the lake is a good place for a fun, family swim, whereas in the winter, it attracts the more ‘hardcore’ swimmers, who are brave enough to brace the cold water.
