Swim in the River Itchen at Eastleigh, a short walk upstream from the Hub car park. The River Itchen is a beautiful chalk-bed river running through Winchester and down to its mouth in Southampton. The banks of the river are fragile, so be sure to use the purpose-built ‘dog’ steps along the river to access the water. This is a popular spot to swim and often has organised swims.
