About

Walk around Fleet Pond which, despite its name, is the largest freshwater lake in Hampshire. This Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) is teaming with wildlife, whether you’re walking through its woodland and heath, or past the reedbeds and marshes. A circuit of the pond is a level wheelchair/buggy-friendly 3kms and goes right past Fleet Train station when you will also find the Station Pub – note that you can start from here instead if looking for a Pub walk. For longer excursions head South through the woods to the canal where you can access the tow-path or cross into the Forest of Eversley.
