There are very few accessible places to swim in the Test River, Hampshire’s longest and finest chalk stream and world famous for its superb trout fishing. Here at Houghton, just a short walk from the road, where a foot bridge crosses the river, surrounded by open fields, is a perfect spot for a paddle or a dip. This is a nice swim to do as part of a circular walk through Horsebridge and Bossington.
