Walk the Solent Way from Woolston, just East of Southampton. From the impressive views of Southampton Docks you can head East along the coastal path past Netley Abbey, the Royal Victora Country Park and on to Hamble. For the long-distance walkers, you can cross on the river ferry to Warsash to continue. There are several train stations that will bring you back to Woolston if required. From Woolston you can also take a more gentle woodland walk up through the Golden Jubilee Butterfly trail.
